Made by Nada, a Syrian refugee artisan. This beautiful vintage beaded tote bag, Nada single-handedly styled it to perfection. It takes one month to make each tote bag, because of daily chores for the family. Nada learned to make beaded bags during a training course held at a local cultural center. In 2013, the entire family was forcibly displaced from Syria. They traveled to Jordan through the border with help from the Jordanian army. They are struggling to cope with the consequences of displacement; lack of resources and finance to sustain their craft. Nadia and her family currently reside in Amman.
